Stu's Auto Body

We work for you, not the insurance company...

Stu’s Shop

BIO.  I started my auto body practice when I built a one-bay garage in 8/21/1982.  (I know the specific date because I wrote it in the cement on the floor of the bay.  It was a dream since I was young to have my own shop).  I built my shop in 1982, but I first started painting in 1973.  I also have experience with big trucks and motorcycles.  I used to drive big trucks when business slowed down at the shop.  To better work on large vehicles, I added on my main bay to the garage.  The main bay will contain an 18-wheeler and heavy equipment.

I am a supporter of Vets and a lover of bikes—and of course my two kids Brutis & Cooper.  In 2007, we started a non-profit organization Independent Ryders, Inc., which organizes scenic motorcycle rides raising funds to support our community.  I was a founder and I am the President of the Independent Ryders.

My current project involves repairing my old bike Ruby—a 1994 Harley Davidson Ultra Glide Classic, with now more than 200,000 miles.  She blew the “bottom end” recently, and we are working on saving for an engine.  We are also building a trike.  We can’t wait to get that on the road.

We are located on Skunk Hollow Road in Hartland, Vermont.  Please see the “Contact Us/Directions” tab for directions to the shop, and click on the “Stu’s Shop” tab to return to this page.  Now we are getting familiar with Facebook, please click on the Facebook link and be a friend of ours.

INSURANCE WORK.  I have done a lot of insurance work, but my goal is to please the customer.  My motto is: “I work for you not the insurance company. “

RESTORATION.  Many take great pride in older vehicles or motorcycles.
